Akinas Announce Retirement from YFC

On January 24th the Board of Directors of Youth for Christ Hawaii received and accepted Keli‘i Akina’s notice of retirement as YFC Hawaii’s President and Chief Executive Officer effective July 1, 2011.
“Keli‘i and Patty Akina have faithfully served the ministry of Youth for Christ Hawaii for 30 years,” stated Ted Peck, Chair of the Youth for Christ Hawaii Board of Director. “I believe, like many in our community do, that our beloved Hawaii is a much better state because of the investment the Akinas have made in our youth.”
Kelii Akina along with his wife Patty, also retiring from serving in the organization for 30 years, shares, “We move now from a complete and fulfilling chapter in life and open a new one with the conviction that God has called us to take a step of faith. For a good part of this year, we will prayerfully evaluate options that will maximize our service to the Lord and mankind.”
The YFC Hawaii ohana wishes Kelii and Patty all the best as they seek God’s leading for this next chapter of their lives.
